"Spends Quality Time with EACH Patient" | New Google Review!
- on Google Places
I have had good experiences with Dr. Allen, I found him to be a very good listener. His office helped me understand the insurance concerns and this was not a problem for me at all. Dr. Allen was good at evaluating me and provided me with an excellent surgical referral. He spends a great deal of time with each patient. I have absolutely waited in his waiting room...but, guess what? That is because he spends quality time with EACH patient, including the person ahead of me...so...if I have to wait even 30 minutes I don't mind...he does a thorough job and makes sure that you are taken care of. I like that he has a team of people who are complementary to his work...so if I need a massage, etc I don't have to find another resource. He gave me a fantastic physical therapy referral, as well. Once, I slipped on a patch of ice. I sprained my ankle but was afraid because of the pain and swelling that I had possibly broken my wrist. It was probably 4 or 5 in the evening. I called Dr. Allen's office, he immediately made an appointment for me to get an xray and then I got the xray that evening -- I found that I had not broken my wrist which made me a lot happier knowing what my status was as early as possible. I have worked as a medical advisor for highly affluent individuals. Due to my experiences with Dr. Allen I have heartily recommended a number of CEO's of major corporations to Dr. Allen's practice. I have had out of town executives who needed a same day referral and Dr. Allen has made this possible. I find him to be completely honest, earnest, upbeat, skilled, caring and available to his patients. The front office is not always as "tight" as it could be, but it has never affected my care and it just is not really a problem. I think the front office may not be as "efficient" as possible due to Dr. Allen's manner. He is not a high stress, pushy guy and he seems to hire people who are not "freaked out" or stressed. So...it is a tiny bit more laid back than some offices that are run in a really "buttoned down" way. Everyone has their own tastes, but I would rather spend time with a physician who listens and who is able to correctly assess me and provide me with stellar care than worry about what the front office does or doesn't do. I would, and have repeatedly, recommend Dr. Allen to anyone suffering musculoskeletal pain.
